Visually, Driving For Freedom will traverse a long-distance journey which begins underground, literally, in oil-rich countries, and ends in the combustion chambers of U.S. automobiles and tractor-trailers. The film's pace will be energetic and exciting, using content and imagery relevant to modern audiences. From the ground to the gas tank, Driving for Freedom will show the history of oil production and consumption: where oil comes from, and its necessity in every aspect of American life. At each turning point, the case for reducing the United States' oil dependency through conservation and alternatives will be emphasized. This documentary will present factual examples that show how our dependency hurts us individually—as well as nationally.
Driving For Freedom will tell the story of oil: what it is, where the United States gets it, and why it is necessary. Then, by offering extensively detailed solutions—from running cars on recycled vegetable oil to drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge—Driving For Freedom will provide U.S. consumers the tools needed to make informed decisions when addressing oil dependency.
Graphically, the film will employ modest, yet superb cinematography of typical daily scenes in the U.S.; important and topical interview locations will give on-camera individuals added relevance. The presentation of powerful graphics and static visuals throughout the film will complement extensive research. In order to garner the interest of consumers in the largest quantities, the film will employ the most state of the art filmmaking techniques. Driving For Freedom will be exciting, entertaining, and fun, while also bold and confident.
The United States will need to travel a lengthy distance to obtain energy independence. Driving For Freedom is happy to help lead the way.
